1. Do I need a licence to drive a small digger?

No. You don't need a formal licence or 'ticket' to do private work on your own property, like in your garden. Before we leave the machine with you, we'll give you a full safety briefing and show you how to use the controls.

1. How is the mini digger brought to you?

We bring the machine to your site in a special truck or trailer. Our skilled driver will carefully unload it for you and put it wherever you want it so you can get to work.

1. Will it hurt my driveway?

We do everything we can to be safe. Our mini diggers have rubber tracks that are made to protect surfaces like cobblelock, tarmac, and concrete from damage. We are always careful, but if you are really worried, you can put down some old wood boards for extra protection.

1. Does it come with petrol?

You will get the machine with a full tank of diesel. This is usually enough for a full day's worth of hard work. The normal rule is that you have to bring the machine back full, just like you got it. If you can't, you'll have to pay a refuelling fee.

1. What if it stops working?

One day is the usual length of time we rent things. We also have great deals on full-weekend rentals (for example, delivery on Friday and pickup on Monday) and full-week rentals.

You won't believe how easy it is. The controls are easy to understand: two joysticks for the arm and bucket and two levers for the tracks. Most first-time users can operate the machine with confidence after 15 to 20 minutes of practice. The most important thing is to be slow, smooth, and steady.

1. What attachments do I need?

You only need the standard digging buckets that come with the machine for 90% of the jobs, like digging trenches or levelling soil. You have to ask for a hydraulic breaker if you need to break up concrete. An auger is what you need to drill post holes.
